What Would You Buy?
2WA had a few of us guessing there for a bit on what he was spending is $4,000 - $8,000 budget on. So, assuming you have to work within that budget (Aunty Betty has kindly given you the cash) AND you have to pick a bike that is currently up for sale, what would be buying assuming you MUST keep your Bandit?
I'd probably go for something like this: SV But I'd be left wondering if I should have bought a Gixxer!

Re: What Would You Buy?
I do like the SV1000's. But something like this 2002 SUZUKI Hayabusa will get me moving a bit quicker
Re: What Would You Buy?
Outside Aunty Betty's budget limit ($8,000) I'm afraid - but very nice if you could talk them down.

Yeah. The old: mate I've only got $8000 cash, here, right nowEwok1958 wrote:Outside Aunty Betty's budget limit ($8,000) I'm afraid - but very nice if you could talk them down.
Re: What Would You Buy?
SV1000s or a VT1000 firestorm. Looking on the net $8000 is an awkward number. If its very interesting it's going to be older and therefore in more need of TLC. Otherwise you just don't have the budget.

09 ish GSXR750 for some fun on the track - JB Perfomance bikes get repairable write offs up and running quite cheaply. There was a good one at the track that the bird paid $7200 and just over $1000 to get it on the road.

I found the same bike.
It should be a crime to put a rack on them.

Re: What Would You Buy?
The Ducati is in the price range but then you can't afford to run it cause they cost too much.
Would get this for a track toy with money for tyres and juice.

Well, that's not entirely true. My wife has a 750 Monster, and it's proven to be quite inexpensive to maintain and has never let her down. Although she doesn't use it as a daily ride and probably only does between 3000 and 7000km a year.
