Park Lights As Indicators
I have ordered a set of flush mount LED indicators to replace the ugly std ones. I had a thought. What if I replaced the park light bulbs for amber ones and rewired them to the front indicator wires. That way I will have the flush mounts AND front flashers. Does this seem like a good idea. The only problem I see would be different flash rates. I am installing resisters for the led's. I have seen some new cars with indicators in the tops of their headlights, so I dont see any problem really. Any thoughts. ??

Re: Park Lights As Indicators
bandit S doesn't meet ADR for spacing between indicators if you use the park lights as turn signals but by having flush mounts you should be OK.
Most flush mounts don't meet ADR visability requirements from the front due to angles but there is at lest one that might (can't remember brand but will see if I can find some info for you)
Spacing between headlight and indicator in park light will not meet ADR but you might get away with it if you have flush mounts, depend on if poo poo knows his shitz and how he interprets the rules I guess.
Use normal incanecant globes in both rear and flush mounts (yes you can get them, look around) and LED in park lights and there will be no need to use resistors or special flasher.
If you guna go to the trouble of LED flush mounts and LED in the park light location then IMO get smaller LED rear indicators at the same time. You'll need a LED flasher if you do this.
Don't get resistors to increase the load to make the normal flasher work properly, easier to jsut get a LD flasher IMO

Thanks for the advise guys. Yes I know the measurement requirments, and the parkers are not in there, but they are sorta seperated from the rest of the headlight unit so I hope that it will shed a reasonable amber light. Surely with four amber flashers at the front it will be noticable. I have got nice Barracuda LED's coming for the rear as well. Will post pics when they arrive.
