Even though my bike has only done 8000 kms it's due for it's annual service(4th).Each time it went back to Witches they balanced the throttle bodies and from memory they even did them on the 1000k service.Last year I went back and had a go at them for doing them again and not changing the brake and radiator fluids. In the end to Tony's credit he took the bike back and did the fluids no charge. My point is does the Bandit have a problem or am I and the bike being overserviced.......I havn't been serviced for years.....LOL

If you are getting that level of service then you are lucky. Nothing wrong twith the guys sync'ing the TB's. If they aren't then the bike runs like crap. Mine is starting to run a bit rough at low RPM so I've order a Morgan Carbtune to do it myself as I am ages from a dealership and would rather do it myself anyway

I think its a fraction over servicing. Are you sure they were done each time?
Mine will be done for the first time at the next service (24,000) and I'm reluctant to do it then too as its fuelling right and always has done. I'm inclined to leave something alone if its going well but there is a slight, very slight uneven idle after a hard long run that has developed over the last 1000km. Its not fuel.

I know I'll have to bend over and touch my toes at the next bill but it will be right again for another 24,000 I hope Wink

IMO too many TB syncs and not enough of the more improtant stuff like changing brake fluids and coolant.

For me fluids is a distance based thing but it is also a time based thing as the stuff can go bad in one way or another when sitting in what ever container they are in, especially when youadd things like, air, moisture, contamination etc etc.

Bandit TB's don't need to be done all the time, but it vertainly doesn't hurt to do them if there is time to do them. I have done mine many more times than that, but I mess with things to see what happens, how it goes etc etc.

Get yourself the gear you need to do the service and do it yourself. The cost of the tools will pay for themselves after the first time you use them.

My Morgan Carbtune turned up yesterday, so it's throttle body syncing time for me Smile
