PIES pies PIES
the other essential part of any sensible diet is the pie - and the best you can get is at the Upper Crust in Collaroy. its worth a special ride there and you will be amazed. on the other hand the pies at the famous robertson pie shop are crap - so there's good and bad in everything

A bit partial to a cornish pasty and a pint of cider before watching the football on a saturday afternoon .... and I have the physique to prove it.

I reckon I'm spoiled for choice - to get to the South Coast (Bega Valley) I have to pass through Nimmitabel and Bemboka (both have good pie shops that also do a good pastie) and of course there's Brown Mountain to play on (although current surfacing is average in places). Biggest problem coming up is the forthcoming ski season and a road full of idiots between Canberra and Cooma. Easy to see why NSW's inland revenue service patrol it so heavily.

Ewok ....for survival I avoid Cooma / Canberra road like the plague in winter ...from Bermi to Canberra via Clyde or Brown is 6 of one etc. best idea is to change with the seasons...Clyde in winter to avoid the snowbunnys and Brown in summer to avoid the boaties.....grey nomads in caravans ?? just slash your wrists (its easier in the long run ).............................Grumpy

The fish and chip shop at Tallangatta shows Souvlaki on the board. It's not souvlaki, its a beef and salad wrap.
