G'day from a new 1250A owner in Canberra
G'day all,
I picked up my new 2011 1250A last Saturday and can't get the grin off my face since. I have been lurking here for a while and the abundant wisdom on this forum helped me decide on buying the Bandit.
Looking forward to contributing to the forum and meeting up with some of the Canberra members here - there seems to be quite a few of us. If we did a run to the South Coast, we could meet up with propagandhi too.
Cheers
Grover

Welcome, got my 2008 bandit almost 3 weeks ago and very happy with it.
Make sure you post details of your first accidental mono.........only took me a week on mine
And you'll be very pleasantly surpised on how little fuel such a large and grunty engine uses.

I'll guarentee if you have an articulated right wrist you'll eat those words.

Quite likely , but most certainly I am covering the ground a lot quicker than my other regular ride (Guzzi 1100 Sport), and using about 1.5 litres less per 100kms.

Re: G'day from a new 1250A owner in Canberra
Thanks fellas.
One small mono so far, on the first day. I like the stability the bandit offers, its confidence inspiring.
Fuel mileage has been good, but I am running it in so not exploring the top end of the motor yet.
I've been away from road bikes for a long time, so taking it easy getting reacquainted with being on two wheels. Loving every minute on the Bandit with its instant torque. I expect my license is going to take a few hits. Luckily I am at full points now.
Hey Four40, I saw your profile on Canberra Riders and we are both in Isabella Plains.

Welcome aboard - I may see you on Ashley or Isabella - I'm in Monash. As for fuel economy, I get 350+ kms from the tank touring (with a few high speed runs of course) and about 280 -290 kms communting.

Gday Grover, looking forward to riding with you soon.
Considering we're like 2.5 hours apart that should happen pretty soon. Theres a few good routes up this way I can show the canberra folk but I'll expect you to show me some good ones that way too
