Whats it doing?
I'm assuming its killing the engine when the stand is up?

well you know how if the stand is down then you arent meant to be able to start the engine, or if you put the stand down while the engine is running, the ignition is mean to cut off.....well now neither happens so you can ride off with the stand down - neutral light works. i haven't tried starting the engine without pulling the clutch in - might try that today. i will get it fixed at 6000 service, but its worth checking each time you ride off that the stand is up by having a look

You're not quite correct mate.
You can start the engine with the stand down. I do every start Smile
Providing you're in neutral you can put the stand up and down as often as you like.
The engine is cut if the stand is down and you select a gear or you're in gear and you put the side stand down.

you might be right come to think of it - i will make a conscious effort tomorrow [if it isnt raining] to make sure it ain't in neutral when i check it
