Greetings from East Tennessee, USA
I noticed from previous introductions that you've dropped your standards sufficiently to allow riders from the USA in. Hope I'll be able to sneak through the filter too. I'm a very old guy who's been riding a shockingly long time. Bought my first bike in 1966...a Benelli, and haven't been without one since. I live in the East Tennessee hills, the center of the best bike riding territory in this country, only about 65 miles from the world famous "Tail of the Dragon" and ride recreationally several days a week. Just put in 100 miles of back roads this morning.
A few weeks ago I stumbled on a lightly used 2008 1250 Bandit with numerous added features. The price was attractive so I bought it to go with my VStrom and...here I am. I'm sure you guys are about to tell me everything I need to know.

Now there ya go, Cameron I told you, if we let one in it'll open the floodgates. Next thing you know they'll be over here stealing our women again.
Welcome to the forum. And Gus is right ( I can't believe I said that), pics are a requirement.

Welcome, more the merrier even if they don't speak English.
At least he knows where he is, the other guy wasn't sure whether he was in Portland or USA.

Re: Greetings from East Tennessee, USA
Welcome to our humble Bandit site.
I'm going to the US next year around Sep / Oct and I'd almost kill to ride the Tail of the dragon.
I'll be attempting to not add to the tree of shame
I'll be based around Chicago but I'm prepared to fly
I'm pretty sure I dont want to hire a Harley tractor to do the run but I might have too
Edit: Good one Re-cycled

Re: Greetings from East Tennessee, USA
I don't have any pictures handy but to get an idea of what the Dragon's like go to killboy.com. He stands at a turn on the Dragon and snaps photo's all day. Just pretend you're looking for your own picture and look through a weekend day. Pick a date and then look at what he gets on a good weekend. I promise you'll be amazed.
We don't ride the Dragon much because it's too congested now and roughly 80% of the riders don't know what they're doing. The Harley guys from the flatlands are tiptoeing through acting as rolling chicanes while the Colin Edwards want-to-be's fly through out of control. Don't even mention the daring young men in their WRX's. There are hundreds of other good roads here that are virtually empty so we ride those.

OK Big Al,
As they say around here, "Y'all come!"
Ed
On the subject of local knowledge, my riding buddy has spent about 60 years in this area and a bunch of 'em were spent on two wheels. He knows thousands of miles of back country mountain roads.
