The do work well and are fairly easy on the tank. The major PITA is that all the hooks that secure it don't always stay hooked under the tank. The straps tend to slip under the tank, making the whole thing loose a bit of tension.

I'm looking towards something like one of the duco scratch kits - http://ducoscratch.com.au/products.asp?cat=Suzuki+Bandit. A bit exy, but it's clear, so I can show off the tank a bit more.

I used to use one...but got donated to my brother.
the reason they dont come up for the 1250 is that the tank cover is actually one made for the GSX650...but they both have the same tank. Just isnt listed in the 1250 accessories for some reason.

I had one on a VStrom, but took it off as dust gets in under it and it'll scratch the paint anyway. Getting them wet isn't a good thing if the tank isn't 100% clean. I have a transparent cut to size film on the bandit which is excellent.
