GSX1250FA owners - second fan Empty GSX1250FA owners - second fan

Those owners of the 1250FA, when have you noticed the second cooling fan (RH side of radiator) activate?
There is one right in the guts of the radiator and this second one to the right visible through the fairing outlet.
Just curious.

I can hear a fan come on when in traffic on hot day.
Can't say I've heard two of them come on ... or be able to distinguish which is running for that matter.

... wish I had a workshop manual for the FA. I've got one for the 09 Bandit S K9
does anyone know where I can get an FA manual?

Download it from somewhere like this.

I downloaded one of my manuals. then got one off ebay on CD later.

I have an FA F/T, punted around a few times in the heat of about 35C and not sen the fan spin. I've been going to pin a LED to it's active to see when and under what conditions it comes on. I really should do it sooner rather than later...

Guys, keep an eye on it for me. It may be a fail safe fan?? Until someone gets an FA manual we won''t really know.

My auxilary fan has only come on once,on a really hot day Rolling Eyes in slow moving town traffic,that is once in 4500mls,so I would not worry about it,as long as the main fan kicks in.

Nice Work! Thanks for that. I can now rest easy thinking I had air con fitted Laughing .
I was beginning to think it was a cooling fan for the flux capacitor and was avoiding 88MPH. Razz

I got the manual.
the main centre fan is run by a switch embedded into the radiator
the second fan is a failsafe and is run by a relay after a command from the ECM

main fan
on to off ~100C
off to on ~ 105C

failsafe fan
on to off ~ 108C
off to on ~ 110C

I got the cd off eBay. I think was like $5 delivered. I use it all the time and I'm happy with it.
If i was more computer skills, I'd upload it to it's own thread.

If I can find the CD, Who would like a copy of it? It's for 07 1250s-1250n-ABS

I downloaded a manual for the 2007 1250 off bit torrent. Each chapter has it's own pdf. It's very handy!

I downloaded the manual on the internet and I can't recall from which website. If you wanted to order it through your suzuki dealer the p/n is Part No. 99500-39300-01E (this is for the GSF1250 K7-K9)
and the printed supplement for the GSX1250FA is p/n 99501-39600-01E
