Has anyone with a naked Bandit thought the radiator top super Mad
Thought about making a cover for it but worried about trapped water rusting the rad.Just looks unfinished to me .

Water would evaporate off quickly Gus. Shouldnt be a long term issue I wouldnt think. A folded top that bolts to the existing side covers would be ok if thats what you're thinking. Plastic would be my material of choice.

Was thinking about a piece of flat aluminium painted black with Bandit engraved each side in fancy writing.

If i get it engraved is it "BANDIT" or "BANDIT 1250" or something about Honda Razz

Made up alloy cover this arvo .Disappointed, sits a bit high and just not right .Painting it at the moment, hoping it might look better.

Up date.

Slightly bent over ends to stop it sitting high. That's better. Scratched paint
Painted it black again and put it in oven to dry. FORGOT ABOUT IT

3 hrs later affraid

Lucky,still o.k.

Might have another problem-Can you engrave THROUGH paint or will the paint peal off and leave a fuzzy edge.Should have used black anodised.

This was going to be so easy,15 mins max. No

Still hopeful.

Got another one on the go. Will get the engraving more like it is written on the back of the bike with 1250 added.

Get a chrome/silver sticker made up.
The typeface is Brush Script I think.

Luck would have it the lady across the road had a engraving machine (computer) How lucky is that !
Took her ages to set it up the way i wanted but the end result was worth it ,esp. since she would not take any money.
At least now its on computer so the next one (if needed )will be easy.I'll post a pic with it on the bike soon.

Black Silicone. Alloy was 470mm long by 25mm Ends need to be kinked over or it stands too high.

Looks good Gus. Whilst i'm not into much by the way of mods, those that are subtle, but have visual impact can have real effect, such as yours! Gr8 effort!
