Any Bandit Forumites near Bendigo?
It appears I'm crossing the border to the dark side.
I've recieved a job offer in Bendigo, after 41 years in the SA government sector many have asked me why?
Extra $$
Extra super (15% instead of 10)
Gorgeous lady a bit over an hour down the road

Well congrats on the change.
Bendigo= f-ing Hot in Summer & f-ing cold in winter.
Main drag to Melb is a good run.
Plenty of bike & car groups down there.

Re: Any Bandit Forumites near Bendigo?
Tomorrow is day 1 of the big move.
I'm riding the Bandit over from Adelaide, loaded like a small truck, pick up house keys Friday AM, sop for a spare bedroom bed (until my furnoture arrives)
Sunday or Monday, train to Bendigo and fly back to Adeliade, daughters graduation on Wednesday morning.
Thursday, collect my trailer from a mates then drive to Bendigo, my new home, my new life.

Thanks mate, there is a room in Bendigo for you if you want to ride (or drive) over
I had a pretrty uneventful ride over on Thursday, Thursday was forecast as the nicest day last week, ne erain expec6ted.
Drizzled from Montieth to Keith
Rained between the border and Nhill
After leaving the Western Hwy at Dimboola, km after km of single lane bitumen (and they say SA is backwards), about 15km of that was ripped up and dirt ready for sealing, awesome on a very overloaded Bandit!!
8.5 hours after leaving Adelaide I arrived at my motel for the night in Golden Square before collecting keys and moving into my unoit the next morning.
I had palnned on flying back tomorow, yesterday was crap, too wet to ride around doing stuff so I locked the Bandit up in its new home, train to Melbourne (how good is a $6.30 fare on a weekend?) to stay with my girlfriend last night, today I cashed in my Velocity Points , added $60 and flew back to Adelaide.
It will be my daughters (some of you mt her in Parkes) graduation (Uni, stuctural engineer)
Thursday I hope t o be on the roide with car and trailer earlky enough to be back in Bendigo by 2:00pm at the latest
