Posting problem

Hello, I'm trying to post 1-2 Word pages' worth under General or Other Bikes but I keep getting a "message too long" response. Why is this?

I don't know ,new one on on me ( unless it is in some strange format ) ..............you could try splitting the pages into 2 or 4  ( one post and 2 or 3 replies to your own post )

It could be the Word document metadata that is causing the problem. Try right-click on mouse, select "Paste as Plain Text".

I just did that as a test and successfully pasted in 6 Word pages.

In stages anyway as

im scared  i will get to the end ,and loose the lot .

Another "trap" is if you are starting a new topic with a very long initial post.  

If that topic takes off and goes over multiple pages, that initial (long) post is repeated at the start of every page.  

So its always an idea to have a short intro post, then put the longer posts in as a second and/or subsequent posts.
