Radiator replacement
Hi everyone , I have a 2007 Bandit 1250s (ABS) it has done 58k, had the clutch lever break while in gear and stopped resulting in a stall and half drop which ended in the top left of the tank being dented it is not leaking, I have priced a new factory one at $750+GST from my local Suzuki dealer he couldn't recommend an aftermarket one that had the same cooling ability as all that he has tried have in slow traffic be close to boiling and run hotter on the highway, so can anyone help with perhaps a second hand one in very good condition or where to buy a good brand that works as well as OEM or where I can get it repaired in Vic I'm in country Vic.
Thanks Mick bandit61

Re: Radiator replacement
madmax had his radiator repaired a few years back, IIRC it didn't last as long as he would have expected, I can't remember if he bought OEM or after market 2nd time around?
madmax?
madmax?
Re: Radiator replacement
Maybe try local radiator repairer if there is one.
Price is spot on as through Suzuki, so he's not ripping you off. If same dimensions, number of tubes and fins per cm are the same, Don't see how it would run hotter.
EBay has a supplier in Melbourne, maybe a call and a chat.

Re: Radiator replacement
Thanks GXS1100G as it is your doner bike I wouldn't want to take it and have decided to bite the bullet and order a new one as I tow a trailer and have a long ride cumming up in the new year where it is hot.

It wasn't the repair that failed. A new hole developed from the radiator guard rubbing on the core.
Bought new OEM, because I didn't have time to repair or test the old one again before my trip across to WA

My repair I got done in Dandenong for around $100.
New was about $750 IIRC
At the time ebay had non genuine for the GSF but not the GSX which mine was.

I had the same issue
I had a pinhole leak bottom right under the factory corner guard. I ended up going with an aftermarket unit that looked like it had Australia stock on ebay but no, I waited for 5 weeks to get it. It was very slightly smaller than my bandit 1250 2008 my09. I have got it back together, it does nothing but city riding (Brisbane) and has been fine, other than not able to put my rad guard on. If I had the $, I would go OEM. So I think you made the right choice. I have the old one which I will eventually find a repair person to do the leak up. Best of luck to you!

Sorry to bump an old post.. Do you still have the radiator? Would you be willing to part with it?]

Re: Radiator replacement
Wish I'd seen this thread earlier, I can help. I bent the rad on my '07 1250. I'm in the phone to a mate in Oz (I'm in South Africa) and while we're talking he says "there you go" and sends me a link to E Bay. Search Suzuki GSF 1250 or Suzuki bandit. I got a rad for under AU$ 200. Works perfectly, I've done plenty km. Interestingly, on rad fits quite a few different models.
Notre: the E Bay item was on auction. I IGNORED notifications telling me my bid had ben topped. I let the deadline pass. Surely enough, I got an invitation to purchase the item at the price I had bid.
