Hello from the UK, Just got back into biking, I gave up biking 10 years ago, sold two GSXR 1100s as I am getting old and they got heavier every year.
I missed riding so I have just bought a 1250 Bandit K8 GT. I am 70 now but this has knocked 10 years off me. We are just getting over the wettest winter in history. Rained everyday in February but I got out when I could. So hello from The Wirral UK. just north of Wales and near Liverpool.  Smile

Welcome to the forum

I look forward to some pics, we didn't get the GT in Australia, the closest on here is a sidecar with the fairings added later

Thanks guys, I don't have a photo to show, I got the bike with £500 off as it's an insurance write off, so it doesn't have the lower fairings, or the Garmin GPS. I havn't been able to find any problems that would explain the write off but after your question I now realise that damaged fairings and a missing Garmin could explain it. It is registered as a GT with GIVI boxes and hand guards. So I am more than happy with it, but thanks for the question and I now understand the write off issue. I had a leak in the metal part of the coolant hose, 4 inches of 1 inch mild steel pipe with a small 1/2 inch pipe to the side, Suzuki wanted £62 (123 Australian) for the pipe, I bought £5 worth of copper fittings and soldered my version, which looked much better, no wonder bikes get written off so easily if a bit of pipe costs £62.

Regards  Les.

G'Day Les,
Doesn't take much to W/O bikes or cars.
OEM parts plus labour sure do add up quick.
Then there's the "allow for .........." factor as well.
2 of my other bike were W/Off's. Bent bars, little dents, scratched exhaust & mirrors etc.
Enjoy the new toy 👍🍻
