Good day from South Africa
Good day from South Africa, the 9th Province of Australia. Taking the liberty of joining your forum and introducing myself.
I’m a sixtysomething who started riding when bikes ran on coal. My 2007 vintage 1250 S, along with its rider, was inactive for several quarters for complicated rea$on$ but back in action now.
I’m about to do my first road trip in years. With the Bandit receiving her final touches from the dealer, my throttle wrist is in training for the forthcoming 1400 km scenic route to the coast and the 1200 km direct route back a week later.
My aim is to take the reader along on the ride and exchange war stories.
Up for some banter?

Welcome aboard Stan, I must also pass on my condolences re: the cricket
Seeing as there is nearly as many of your country men in Adelaide you'd nearly feel at home here atm (except for the continuous fire smoke ) My team leader at work is one of your mob.

"Children, you will each state your name and what Daddy does for a living."
Child 1:"Michael; my daddy is an accountant."
Child 2: "George; my daddy owns a hardware store."
Child 20: "Johnny; my daddy... uh... my daddy is a striptease dancer in a gay bar."
During break, Teach escorts Johnny to the headmaster's office; it seems this kid is going to need counselling.
Headmaster: "Johnny, your dad... he does WHAT for a living?"
Johnny: "He's a Proteas cricket player; I was too embarrassed to say it out loud, so I said the first thing that popped into my head."
