Well after chewing out another front set of Pirelli Angel GT's on the front of my GSX 1250 FA after about 5K I'm now been told to disregard the tire pressure settings as recommended by Suzuki, to disregard the tire pressure recommendations as listed on the Pirelli website for my bike/tire combinations and instead of running 36psi... that all Pirelli tires should be run at the max pressure as listed on the tire sidewalls for road usage (track would be different of course). Bloody annoyed atm, 5k only before a distinct ridge formed on the front tyre which is indicative of running under inflated.

So I've spoken to the guys who fitted my new rosso III's, and to the Pirelli Australian distributor that the fronts should be run at 40 psi NOT 36psi as specified by Suzuki and the Pirelli website, and as I'd been running them at 36psi Pirelli were kind enough to replace my front tyre for free.

I've always run fronts between 38 and 40PSI with the rears +2 regardless of the brand of tyres.
I've never run Angels but you might find they wear faster regardless of pressure.
My Dunlop RS2/3 seem to be stuffed at 9k (front) but the wear is even. That's something pointy pigs of PR2/3/4 can only hope to achieve.
So yes your pressures were a fraction low but not enough to halve the tyre life in my opinion.

Yea they wern't bald, still tons of tread but the addition of a "ridge" at the top made me decide to toss em, but Pirelli to their credit came through with a new fitted tyre without any fuss and I was pleased about that.

I'm running a Pirelli Angel on the rear. The last set of Angels got me 9,500kms before they were replaced. I've just put a new PR2 on the front after replacing a very stuffed PR4 which had done 13,934kms. The PR4 still had tread left but had gone out of shape, just about dead flat on the right hand side. I ran a couple of sets of PR2s many years ago and were happy with them. Putting a new front PR2 on is a reminder of how slow they turn - it feels like you need to start rolling into the corner much earlier. Easy enough to get used to I suppose but you wouldn't want to race on them.

My first Michelin chopped the front out very quick, I was told to rum 40-42 in the front when I got my next one, made a big improvement

My Dunlop has had 42 since new it's done about 2000 km of commuting and 5500km fully loaded touring, still got nearly half left

The Bandit is a heavy bike, the front is very heavy, it needs more than the wise (?) men from Suzuki stated

I run 38psi cold front and rear front is a conty sport attack 3 rear is a conty road attack evo.  Replaced front evo at 9500k because of tyre ridging at 36psi and went to the sport attack and lifted pressures to 38  the 2 psi seems to make a great difference. Used to run Pirelli angels and same as you 8000k and they were rattus  rear conty has 14500k and will go another 2/3000k I recon

Remember fork settings and condition play a huge part in tyre life. 1250 is a big bike so fork servicing needs to be done every 10,000ks. At least an oil change. 

As the fork fluid breaks down so the factory set compression and rebound will go out of wack.

I am on my 2nd set of Angel GTs. First set I ran 36 psi front and 40 psi rear and got about 12 to 13000km out of them. Front tyre was pretty shot and the rear had probably another 1500km left. Rear tyre was an A spec. This 2nd set are both A spec front and rear so with the stiffer sidewall of the front tyre I am running 34 psi in the front with no problem. Wear is even after approx. 6000 km. Rear tyre is running 38 psi with even tyre wear as well. I don't ride 2 up and I don't load up with heavy luggage. Pressures are checked frequently. As mentioned previously I think suspension set up has a lot to do with tyre wear on the Bandit. Finally the Angel GTs are excellent tyres for the Bandit in my opinion I wouldn't bother putting anything else on my bike.
