Thank you for your efforts as admin, luckily it's a generally trouble free site but it still takes a lot of effort

I started my apprenticeship in 1966 when I was 15yo and was pretty independent from that age.

Correct me if I am mistaken but I thought Mods were well dressed with shoulder length hair and bell bottom trousers whereas sharpies had crew cuts and wore baggy jeans. I think I was probably a Mod.

I don't think it was all that common to have a driver's license in those days but that didn't stop us travelling from Melbourne to Adelaide, you guessed it, to Rundle Street to pick up a few chicks at the disco.

I had my first bike at around 15yo and was too young to get a license but I don't think that was much of a deterrent.

I don't know what my parents must have thought and I expect I was not a lot different to the mates I hung around with.

My modern day understanding of me in my early days was probably a "mongrel teenager"

Looking back, I wonder how we survived some of the challenging situations we got in to.

Adelaide Mods were a bit of a mixture   , they dressed as sharpies , but rode scooters as per mods (identity crisis LOL )in huge numbers .I can remember that disco at the top end of Rundle st .....never went there , just cruised past  .................if my kids got up to what we did , they would be grounded till they were thirty LOL
