Straight from the workshop manual;
Engine Oil (For USA)
Oil quality is a major contributor to your engine’s performance and life. Always select good quality engine oil.
Suzuki recommends the use of SUZUKI PERFORMANCE 4 MOTOR OIL or equivalent engine oil. Use of SF/SG or SH/SJ in API with MA in JASO. Suzuki recommends the use of SAE 10W-40 engine oil. If SAE 10W-40 engine oil is not available, select and alternative according to the chart.
15w-40 is too heavy and I can't imagine how the gearbox will feel in 6000km. Its heavy enough with 10w-40
Can I ask why so heavy in a liquid cooled bike?

During summer & hotter months, I have always run a 15w/50 grade oil, even my mechanic recommended it for summer months. During winter / cooler weather I revert back to 10w/40 grade, this works fine for me for many of my bikes in the past.

You really should have flushed the cooling system, thoroughly, before adding the new coolant.
Too many times, I have seen a chemical reaction between old and new coolant, resulting in damage to alloy parts.

Good point, i haven't had a chemical reaction in the past with Engine Ice coolant being used. But that said it is a good idea to run a radiator flush, thanks for the tip.
