Static Height /Ground Clearance
Could I please have some information from you guys as to what the static height to flat ground should be for my bike. (1200GSF)
Can I have measurements from the exhaust collector to the ground and from the lowest point of the riders footpegs to the ground. (or any other measurements you may have)
I still have a problem with the bike scraping going around corners, even at very low speed (30-40km/h)
I'm still not 100% sure as to what ids actually scraping. It may be the exhaust, or centre stand, I'm not 100% sure!
It is very annoyoing, and only happens 2 up riding (around 170Kg combined weight)
I have posted prior about the issue, and people have suggested raising the bike, which would not be an issue as I'm over 6ft tall.
I just don't want to go spending unneccessary money if I don't have to on new dog bones.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Marcus

Re: Static Height /Ground Clearance
The service manual states ground clearance of 135mm.
I haven't got a Bandit any more but from memory that would be from the lowest part of the exhaust.
Check the top of the fork tubes are not sticking out more than about 5 - 10mm. That will give you a clue maybe.
It is possible that a previous owner has modified it. The easiest way is to compare it to another bike. I don't think there were any structural changes from 2007 onwards.

Re: Static Height /Ground Clearance
It's a 1200 , so would be pre 2007 ..................but yep it may have been altered.......... or the rear / shock spring might be stuffed (short of stating the obvious, has the preload been turned up ?)BanditDave wrote:The service manual states ground clearance of 135mm.

Oops, didn't read the fine print. 1200 is 130mm.
Hey Paul,

If this keep up I will have to get in touch with Joe
