OK. What have you done with Carol ?
What's the plan ? I know. Your selling all the bikes and getting a Can Am Spyder. Cool.

I could see Jan and I maybe on something like that down the track. A lot of convenience. Plenty of power. Not sure about the fuel consumption. But if you compare it to two bikes ?

Re: Bonneville for sale (maybe)
Carol has fallen for the lightness and handling of the sv 650 . The Bonnie isn't light even though its a twin .Wheels weigh a ton .
She may yet change her mind but since we moved to Kenilworth it not getting used as much . We are both itching to get the sv to Tasi.
Looks like i'll have to ride something else unless I buy another one . Doubtful but maybe .I have a nose cowl ,lights and screen of a pointy model
in the shed , I just need the rest .

93K will be the issue; many will not accept that a bike is not 'weared out' approaching 100K, utter bullshit but there you go.

Maybe we need to start calling bikes ''Hilux's'' people who own them seem to like the fact that they have done 300 to 400.000 ks when they are trying to sell them - kinda like a badge of honour

Re: Bonneville for sale (maybe)
Since no realistic offers on the Bonnie we decided to keep it and give it a freshen up . Pulled the snorkel out and slightly increased main jets .
It ran sweet before so little difference there .We had some average shocks on the back so spent $520 on these Ikons . These were made for Carols weight, solo use ,with occasional luggage . Also 1" longer to give a better riding position . Delivery time was 8 days and ordering was straight forward as they asked all the right question .Yes,it raining outside .Next some slightly longer front spacers in front forks and it done .Easiest re-build ever .
