I have a non-ABS 1250s.  I was wondering what you guys are doing with the empty compartment underneath the Battery Box.  I was thinking of lowering the Battery Box or enlarging the Intake Box.
Give me some ideas.

gus lowered the battery to create more room. He posted a write up on the procedure. Do a search you should be able to find it.

I've also heard of other people lowering the battery by custom making their own deeper box with a non-conducting floor that sits on top of the battery.  Haven't done it myself.

Don't waist your time by lowering your battery . I ended up having to raise it again to fit a gsx r shock .That was worth it .

The downfall of the ABS Bandit is that the bloody ABS module gets in the way of installing the GSXR shock. I was spewing!

One item I pack for every trip and hope I never need is a small air compressor and tire repair kit.  That space below the battery would be ideal for the compressor.

You can modify the tail section behind the seat lock and get enough room there, or install a r&g tail tidy as I did.

I used this space below the battery for my pro-oiler pump. The oil lines had enough room without any kinking.
