Hema Atlas
I saw Ewoks down at Drake. And I wanted one. Now I have one and it is bloody great. A must have for anyone that is going to do a bit of touring. Very detailed and the 200 rides are all explained well. Some great facts and comes with a large wall map. Great buying. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141249785201?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Yep, totally agree.
I've knocked over a few of these rides and the descriptions are pretty acurate. Photos are good aswell.
It'a good size to pack away and have a read of every now and again to get you geed up for some touring.
Grab one if you see it!

I bought one just before the Drake ride.
Lo and behold, the "Bone shaker" road we went down is in there as one ot the great rides.
The guy has a sense of humor.

Just a little foot note. The author of the Hema Motorcycle Atlas & Ride Guide lists his top five rides throughout Australia. At #1 is Mt Nebo/Mt Glourious just to the west of Brissy. It is a great piece of road. But you do have to take care. He actually turns left where I turn right at one point, so Jan and I may go and trace his tracks this Saturday. Safe riding everyone.

Re: Hema Atlas
Just picked up my copy from the local book store $39.95 ($5 cheaper than eBay as there was no postage charge). They're up to Edition 5 now, printed 2012.
You get two books (The 200 Rides and the Aust Atlas) as well as a decent wall map of Aust that is also fairly detailed. The books are sprial bound so there is no breaking the spine and pages falling out. All comes in it's own clear plastic envelope.
As an added bonus they've included a plastic magnifing thing about the size of a credit card. Because the books are A5 size (25x17cm) this might be an essential tool for some of us old bastards as the print is pretty small in the Atlas (though still very clear).
Overall I agree with everyone else, well worth the money.
