screen - 2010 and 2012 1250s Screen Fittings Empty 2010 and 2012 1250s Screen Fittings

Hi All

I own a 2012 GSF1250s and I've been looking at trying the zero gravity sport touring screen. When I look up the ZG sport touring screen for the 1250s the model numbers only go from 2007 to 2010. I've emailed ZG about this, and their reply is below -

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. The GSF1250S is not sold in the U.S. so it's difficult for us to determine if it's the same bike. From outward appearances it looks like the same bike as the Bandit 1250S that was imported into the U.S through 2010. But we can't guaranty that to be the case. The best thing to do is to check with your local Suzuki dealer and determine if the windscreens for these models are interchangeable.

Can anyone tell me if the windscreen fitments are the same for the 2012 and 2010?

Mant thanks

Steve

As far as I am aware, the screen for a 2012 model should fit the 2010 model and vice versa.

I have a 2010 model and all the bits and pieces I have bought are for all models from 2007 - 2013.

The PUIG screen I installed was categorised for these models (2007 - 2013) and I had no problems with fitting it, therefore I'd take that as all the frames/brackets to be the same  from year to year over this model range.

All S models have identical fittings. The only change was the new fairing on the GSX1250FA

Thanks for the replies.

It was a bit strange that none of the vendors could tell me yes or no so I thought I would check with a group of owners with different bike ages first before buying a screen.

cheers

If you want to come past my way, I can show you the screen I just changed on my 2010
GSX1250fa....if it matches yours, you'll have your answer for sure.

2 different bikes.  What confuses the Yanks is that the GSF1250S was not imported from 2011, and they brought in the GSX1250FA for a while.

Some markets (such as us in NZ), still have new GSFs (L2 models) alongside the GSXs, so a 2012 could be either the S model Bandit or a GSX1250FA.

The L2 differences from the K7 are largely colour scheme, although the wiring harness connectors differ slightly under the seat.

Some markets have what is essentially a naked GSX1250FA as well, with the FA clocks and a different headlight.  There's also one version with a slightly different tail and tail light lens.  Looks the same from the side, but causes issues for people fitting luggage racks as the dimensions differ a little from the standard S.

If it is a GSF1250S, all models of S screens will fit.  The GSX1250FA is totally different as far as fairing and screen are concerned

Thanks Handy, I've just sprung for a Powerbronze Double Bubble. I'll see how that goes.

cheers
