An evening with Jeremy Burgess

To all SA members, there will be a dinner with Jeremy Burgess at the Auchendarroch House - Mount Barker on the 28th of November 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at Tuckers Motorcycles Mount barker $65 each. This is a Rotary event. Should be a great evening.

Lucky bugger Cal! I'd like to hear some of his stories. Could you ask if a autobiography is on its way???

Met the legend last night. What a fantastic evening. A man full of knowledge.

Thanks Paul   Heaps there, the dinner was sold out. Was a great result for Rotary, raised $2000 for the night.

Jeremy lives in the Adelaide Hills, so I am not sure that it will be repeated any time soon in other locations. He spoke about the sacking from Valentino. He is basically now on a "Gardening contract" for the 2014 season with Yamaha. He mentioned he has been trying to retire for the last 15 years and now at age 62 he has finally got the chance to. His spin on Valentino is that Rossi is soon to be 35 and is unlikely to win another world title racing against the young guns. Rossi has achieved a great deal in his career and he should be proud of what he has accomplished. JB used the term "Self mutilation" to describe what Rossi has done. Rossi is doing what ever it takes to get a win. JB has loved his 34 years within the sport and is now just taking time to think about what else if anything he will do. A book is on the cards, as is some work as a commentator. He mentioned also about maybe doing some mentoring for up and coming mechanics. He is heading to the USA toward the end of next year to do some work at Daytona with Yamaha USA.
