48,000kms Service
Valve clearances checked by a dealer but no adjustment required. Plugs, oil and oil filter changed (I did the oil and filter). Rear brake pads are getting down and advised aircleaner element should probably be replaced in another 6,000kms. Cost was $283 (but that excludes the oil and oil filter and my labor!).

Just ordered the rear pads for mine ..................they recommended equivalent yamaha pads & said they weren't so wooden to use , a better feel & good wear life ( don't tell 2wa or we may cop an ear bashing )Ewok1958 wrote:Valve clearances checked by a dealer but no adjustment required. RRP was $ 83 , but I got them for the same price as EBC pads ( which were my first choice ) with my discount ,......... & good looks LOL
So the $283 was for plugs, valves & check over ? not too bad considering the stuffing around

Correct Paul - $255 was the labor component but I certainly don't have the expertise to to a valve clearance check. It made sense for me to get them to do the plugs as they were "in the vicinity". A dealer previously replaced my rear pads with standard Suzuki ones for $40.

These were $55 ( I'll put them in ) ,but I always find the OEM pads feel a bit wooden & didn't want to go to too soft a pad because they can be a bit messy from the brake dust & don't last as long .
