New Lease of Life.
Well guys n Gals. I had my R/H eye caterac surgery on Thursday. Patch came off on Friday morning. All I can say is WOW ! I was really blind. It's like looking at a whole new world. Surgery was absolutely painless and very quick. Not even an ounce of pain that night. Amazing. Just over 2 weeks till I have the left one done. Can't wait. Look out Bandit. You and I are goin' to be doing a lot of catching up together. Only downside was.
I look a hell of a lot older in the mirror from what I can remember. Now Jan has a long list of things that I need to do around the place because I have no excuse about not being able to see it.

I know how you feel mate. Not from having surgery, just glasses for distance. I got them a few years ago and the first time I wore them on the ride home I was blown away with what I could see. I could see blades of grass, not just a green blur!
Congrats Hammy. Enjoy:D

Awesome, it's amazing how much faster you can go when you can see where you are going.Hammy wrote:Thanks Guys. I'm one of the lucky ones that could be fixed. (and not like the cat ! )
Not to mention who might be lurking up the road.
All the best Hammy.

Good on ya Hammy. A mate of mine had both eyes done 3 yrs ago and said the same thing, best thing he'd ever done, should have done it earlier. Completely painless and only the 2 half days off work for each eye. Amazing what they can do nowadays isn't it. Enjoy your new outlook mate.

Yes, I couldn't believe how pain free and easy it was. The only discomfort was to the hip pocket. $$$Jimmy the Boy wrote:He went for the procedure at 11am one day and back the following day. Hard to believe really.
