faulty batch of pistons in 2001-2 built bandits??

i was checking out the model of my bike when i came across this review of the mighty bandit and i came across this story of the year 01-02 bandits,apparently fitted with a batch of faulty pistons,id never heard of this till i read this,you will have to scroll down about 3/4 of the page to see it.my bike is a 01 model but it was built in the 5th month of 2000,but its a k1.ive only got 34k on mine,i wonder if any of the affected bikes are still gettn round out there with the owners fuming over the oil usage,i dont know if mine would be affected as i havent even managed to clock up 1000k yet due to injury.at this time she is a nice ornament.it does say to fix the problem they would have to be fitted with the 2000 model pistons..so hopefully mines okay and that wasnt the reason the fella sold it in the first place,,time will tell.scroll down till you get to the section on reliability.....heres the link

8th month of 2002 1200SK Approx. 77 000 klm on the old girl, (I put a 57000 klm on it) besides the oil leak and slow leaking rear tyre, missing 1 bar end weight, small rip in the seat, worn foot peg rubbers and hazed screen, there is no extra oil being used. WHEW!!!
