Thought I'd try a 1 sec time lapse of the Old Pacific Hwy and ended up with 994 photos.
Heres a small section, hope the guy who came to grief is ok, I may have just been speaking with him when I was setting up the camera.

I need to learn how to set up the camera horizontally, that's hard to do without someone helping.

Baz, did you use a Contour camera? I bought a Live View card (similar to a small memory card) for my Contour, and it
gives you a live view via your iPhone, or iPod, which helps alot when trying to level up the camera on the bike.  They retail
for around $50 through CameraHouse.com.au.

Yeah Suzy I used a contour +2 and used my phone but where its mounted (of which I still need to take a photo of) its just hard to reach and adjust while sitting on the bike. I need to get a power cable for my phone.

Don't know Jim. Someone has an off on this road almost every weekend, sometimes sat & sun.

hmm could be the scooter rider, maybe another bike hit him or car, this road is also very popular with bicycle riders and cars and bike will cross the double yellows to get past the bicycles.

I got no mirror stalks. I put a suction ram mount on the painted bit of my indicator housing.

Old Pac Hwy Ophoff_zps5e499a01

blatently copied from nswriders forum;

Just before 1.30pm today (Saturday 17 August 2013), a south-bound Honda collided with a north-bound Suzuki on the Pacific Highway at Bar Point, about 4.3 kilometres north of Cheero Point Road.

Police have been told the Honda crossed to the wrong side of the road while attempting to negotiate a left-hand bend, colliding with the Suzuki and its rider.

The 61-year-old Suzuki rider was airlifted to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment of internal injuries and fractures. He is reported to be in a serious but stable condition.

The 26-year-old Honda rider was not injured. He submitted to a breath test, which returned a negative result.
