Hi Ron. It's a good idea to introduce yourself first. Kinda polite.

Re: wanted ventura rack
Gidday Ron,
I don't have one to sell, but can vouch for the Ventura rack and bag.
I bought my '07 1250 in Adelaide with the rack and bag fitted.
Rode it north to Darwin with everything I needed for a 4 day trip on that rack, see if I can add a photo...
The other thing you might want to look at is some inexpensive panniers.
I bought some Kappa K33N panniers in January for commuting.
I can't lock a Ventura bag but I can lock panniers.
The cheapest quote I got in Adelaide for any panniers was $1,100.
The Kappas cost me just under AUD$600 from this Italian eBay online store
Included a pair 33 litre panniers, Givi mounts, good instructions in English, spare keys, and delivery to Darwin.
Took about an hour to install.
Not quite as big as the Givi V35 so my full face Aria Vector does not fit (disappointing) but my open face commuting helmet (and my laptop, and my bike cover, and my briefcase, etc) do fit, and are secure when I park it away from home.
Might be worth a look.
Tip: Safari and Firefox browsers can translate foreign language websites.
I'll post some pics when I find them.

Re: wanted ventura rack
Hmm i lock my ventura bag, and my givi panniers were only $400, so it pays to do some research and buy what you can afford and not get crap gear.
(by the way, what happened to the rest of this thread??)

Re: wanted ventura rack
You paid $400 for a pair of brand new Givi V35s, including PLX529 mounting hardware? You did well mate, don't keep your supplier a secret!
Locked pack v panniers? Horses for courses. Back in the day, I had a Gearsack bag that I locked. Defeated one day by persons unknown with one of these...
I can't keep an eye on my bike when it is parked at work, and there's nowhere to store my helmet and riding gear except on the bike. Ripping apart a set of panniers is going to be slower, and a little more obvious than the bag-and-box-cutter trick.
As I say, horses for courses.

Re: wanted ventura rack
I guess thats the beauty of parking my bike outside the local Betta shop, where there is alot of foot traffic. Noone would dare take anything off my bikes (ive laid my jacket across the seat, and its been there when ive come back to it) and i lock my pack with a padlock through the zip tabs
