Good luck Gus, I hope it's all there mate. I owned one for 3,years and wish I'd never sold it but I was $2500 behind in the rates at the time. That engine is awesome! My TL was named Godzilla, not because it was a big lizard, but because it went down the street roaring & frightening the shit out of everyone, especially the pilot. Very Happy Can't wait to see progressive photos Gus, all the best with the rebuild, Jimmy. Ps I think I still have a Copy of the microfiche CD ROM if you would like it for part numbers?

Good luck Gus. I rode a mates 1000s and it was loud, obnoxious and boring to ride. Hope you can give it some character.

Tight fit ...... Empty Didn't fit

Post  GSF Tourist Mon 08 Apr 2013, 2:20 pm

I tried that with an XT500 and a Sigma once. Not even at 80kph would it fit, yes I spent the night in Singleton Hospital. Even destroyed the family sized pizza I was carrying in my left hand.

That's spooky ive just placed it on the gauges .
Don't know how the wiring exits the head stock do you .I put it underneath the lower triple clamp but now realise the rad . will crush it .
There are 2 holes in the front of the frame .It might go through them and around the outside of the fork leg .Unusual but inside it will be a crush zone I think .
