Safety or Revenu? Hume Fwy Cameras Back On
Its a shame they're choking the life out of the best point to point freeway in the country by suggesting we all die of boredom instead

All in the name of safety I hope.
The Hume Fwy is an incredibly dangerous stretch of road, what with no tight corners, dual lanes, great condition road, no major intersections. We should really be thanking them for making it so safe.
I like the way you can get done for doing 115 on a road that is capable of far more but then you can turn off onto a crumby back road which is posted as 100 but even trying to do 90 sometimes is dangerous but there's no money in that so not a cop to be seen.
They don't have any idea do they.

WA has it right.
Post a 100 limit on a road that you could do more on (traffic dependent of course cause a lot of WA drivers are retards) and post a 110 limit on a road you can't. At least they encourage you to go faster on more dangerous roads.
ON a serious note, I remember reading that the hume in its initial design brief and construction was for trucks to be able to cruise at 140 or thereabouts
My opinion it's revinu in the guise of safety

Yes well there's no point putting a camera on a road that would be lucky to get 2 vehicles an hour. Better to put them on a road that carries much more traffic and is capable (therefore tempting) of higher speeds.

Hmmmm, I got home about 4ish this Arvo, had a shower, then had copious beers, I wouldn't mind trying to concentrate or having a power nap now!
Maybe not concentrate so much

Yes but these are road signs, I don't think I want to take a powernap while I driving.

Lol at the right foot thing. still laughing.
highway signs around brisbane.
"Dont speed and get home". (Does that imply to not make it home?)
That the fed govt made NT put speed limits in place is what gets me down.
130 is the limit there. *sigh*
