They are. On UK eBay at the moment. Reason to ask if Gus can carbon them is one side has some chrome removed and a few scratches. I would say the bike they came off has been down the road.

I can't find any here in Australia. Tried find-a-part and all the wreckers linked to that have replied they don't have any.

That's the conclusion I came to too. Hence my hunt on eBay for these. I could buy them new from the States but they want $100 and then add postage.

If they can't be carboned I can strip the chrome off with oven cleaner (old model making trick) and spray them black.

There is a guy here in Brisbane that has started up a business where they actually dip the items in a tank and it covers them with whatever coating you desire. The guy that did my brake lines was telling me about him. He had some parts being done. I will try and find out more details.

Sound likes its this Hydro Printing, looks like they can put almost any patern on anything no matter what shape, couple of good videos on their site that shows the process. Wonder how stable it is, I assume there are clear coats applied over the top. Here are some of the results:

With a very high price when you look at how much it is to make over a gun.

My full pods are on the way. So I have experimented on the half "S" pods. Rubbed the chrome back with some very fine sandpaper. It looked like brushed metal. Then I hit them with 4 coats of satin black from a spray can. I really like the look.

When the full pods get here they too shall get this treatment.
