Have just purchased a Yoshi exhaust from the US, and am now wondering if i'm going to be TAXED when it arrives in Australia??

I think you only pay tax if it is over $1000 AUS for the total purchase price

If the Invoice cost plus freight is above $1,000 then you pay duty.

You "may" have to pay duty, sometimes you can be lucky and it will come straight through.

GST should only be on AU equipment and services so if it is a direct import no GST is due. This makes up part of the markup for local distributors, so if the are charging double for the same part you can get overseas, they are only making 90% profit.
