Report to Colac

That’s right. I have been sent to Colac for a week of night shift for Victoria’s DSE doing logistics.
I’ll be checking in occasionally if I can get Optus reception. As a logistics officer you’d think I could swing a motel room
I hope so because I can’t sleep on a camp stretcher is a frigging tent

I’m driving over today to start work tomorrow night so I think I should be able to shoot over to Port Campbell (12 Apostles) tomorrow morning before having a sleep

So if you don’t hear from me it’s because I can’t get onto my smart phone

While you're there, better sample the Colac-Forest road to the Ocean road, then back to Colac via Lorne and the horrible Deans-Marsh Colac road
These are shocking roads and better to experience them multiple times just to make up your own mind!!
FYI Apollo Bay to Lavers Hill is bloody awful also..........

Well after sneaking off to Port Campbell this morning I was aproaching Lavers Hill as SB instructed when I got a call.
That meant I had to high tail it back to Colac to be moved onto Heywood! Im now in a motel in Portland and will work the rest of the week in Heywood. Driving home on Sunday it this plan works.

Oh Lavers Hill to Colac is a nice drive. Better on a bike but 80k limits a lot of the way.

A mate of mine was sent to warrnambool to help at the meat works for a few months . He used to ride home here friday night & back again sunday night ( he was married then ) he used to do it on a series one bandit .

Tonight is my last night in Portland
Setting off home in the morning.
