defecting to Kawasaki
First topic message reminder :
Sorry guys but am selling the bandit, sadly it has to go to make way for a zx12 told you I like horsepower, have had a couple of busas, but now I have found a mint 2006 zx with under 10,000 ks on it so I am going to buy it , put a new top yolk on and a new set of bars if I like that I will keep the fairing if not fairing goes and I will street fighter it, will post pics when I get it in a couple of weeks.

Re: defecting to Kawasaki
Any further news on this front - is O&N still on-line? I see there are a few of the 2006 gold and black models (certainly the good-lookers of the class of '06) for sale with reasonable k's and sub-$10k prices. One hell of a lot of power (178bhp) and torque for that sort of money. Might be a bit of a toy (and certainly not a future collectable IMHO) but I could be swayed, especially if I can't get the SP2!
Would naturally keep the Bandit as mine isn't going to be worth anything, so why not have 2 - like 2WA?

Mate did you see the higher mileage SP2 from ACT on bikesales? If yours isn't going to be a regular rider the mileage isn't such an issue providing the rest is in good nick.Ewok1958 wrote:Any further news on this front - is O&N still on-line? The Melb one is priced because it includes the extras which are not much value to most people. Seriously 4 spare mufflers?!

the dealer says he will get 10 to 10250 easy good luck to him,
Any idea what he did get, you can pick up a brand new (2010 plated) 1250SA for $10250 - $10500 if you bargain hard enough.
I picked mine up (2011 plated) in Jan with Givi E41 panniers and a 37L Givi top box all fitted and on the road for $12900

No matter how hard you look. No matter how much you love the B1250 they are no ZX12.
Going by that logic the B1250 are bloody expensive compared to a GS500
2WA is back

I was comparing the price of your traded Bandit to a new one, not the ZX12, the price he stated he would get is not much less than you can buy new for

Ok I see Would be interested to see what was exchanged because I know what I was offered on a 17k new bike and it was no where near enough.

In all honesty, I think I was a much faster rider on my GS500F than I am on the Bandit...
Maybe it was just the high speed head-shakes and ground centre stand that made it feel faster.

I had a GS500F too, last bike in fact. I reckon because of its lower weight I could throw it around easier. Making me slightly faster in the twisties. The bandit is still overall faster with straight line grunt and pulling out of a bend I also reckon it will come together with time
