Just software really...
Either they have a cameras that take the photos automatically of the 360 degree image or.... they have software that takes a heap of photos and stitches them together.
I would imagine its the first one though.....
Get a good photographer that can really use photo editing software and they could knock something like this up as well from home.... although it may take them awhile without the special photography equipment.....
