Okay, got the new screen, screaming demon exhaust, radiator guard on, but having fun getting the bar end screws off, any secret way? I was going to give them a gentle tap inwards on the ends and see what happens, or do I have to use a bloody impact driver, I dont really want to stuff the phillips heads up. I think they got godzilla to do them up. I want to fit heated grips like on my old bike, (I must be getting old).

i put the screw driver in the slot and then gave it a gentle tap and then it was a case of wiggle away.

Grabbing hold of the bar end itself and twisting it in the "undo" direction at the same time as undoing the screw helps a bit.
Be carefull using lots of force on the screw heads, they are easy strip out the cross if you try tooooo hard

be careful not to undo the screw too far or the nut will drop off inside your bars . Just undo it a few turns & push the screw in to release the rubber plug / stopper inside so you can slide it out . they can be a pain ! Smile

#$%^^&& HELL,
Cant get the screws undone on the bar ends, don't know what gorilla did them up. may have to use impact wrench the way it was designed for unless there is some nifty trick to it???????? Any help, I can't just sit back drinking beer trying to work it out, or can I?????? Any thoughts.

Put on a pair of gloves, grab the bar end and turn it anticlockwise. I find I can loosen (and tighten) mine without going anywhere near a screwdriver. Worth a go

Sure are 38 specials. I brought them a few years back and they still look good. I thought with the Bandit name the 6 shooter bar ends kind of fit Smile

If anyone else is chasing a set look up ST machine they were about $40-50 for the set. I reused the bandit OEM internals as they worked much better than what was supplied.

ok.got mine out with a bit of effort
each 1 weighs 260grams,replace with oxford carbon fibre
they weigh next to zip.
observation.you may think i`m silly but the front feels a bit lighter going into corners.
narco and i talked about how the bandit is troublesome going into corners but,
coming out is a breeze cause of the torque it has and does she have torque to burn, luv it
it feels more responsive in the corners to me and steering feels lighter.
is it just my brain playing with me of have i found a new mod to better my beloved bandit?
your guess

Lighter bar ends just give vibes, not better handling. If you jacked the rear end up or put lighter wheels on I'd say you'd feel a heap of improvement.

I find with the big girl it's all about setting up for the turn and muscling the tart into the corner sort of motard attack style rather than racer boy knee down

Sit back, drink beer.

Even if you still can't get the nut out the time won't be wasted, but you might be.
