Muffler Baffled Empty Muffler Baffled

Does anyone know if Yoshi's have a removable baffle? Mine has an indent on the outlet spout that makes me think it could have one as an option.

The R77 definitely comes with a removable baffle. There is a plug on the inside of the muffler to enable it to be inserted on a permanent basis. I didn't use that plug. I fitted the baffle using the screw, and clamped it to the lip of the inner muffler pipe. That is a viable permanent installation (in my opinion). However, I thought the muffler sounded a lot less buzzy without the baffle inserted and decided not to use it (the baffle that is). Glad I didn't have it installed using the factory inner plug option as it would have been considerably more difficult to reverse.

What pipe do you have? If it's a Yoshi TRS, you can buy the baffle, which is part no. TRS-INS-K. If you get stuck I have a spare here in NZ

Thanx mate. Mine's not an R77. I emailed that mob but never got a reply. I might just make one up.

Just got that email from Yoshi USA. They say that all their mufflers are for closed course competion only and unless otherwise stated, do not come with an optional baffle and even with an optional baffle the mufflers are not road legal.
