Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
What's the most popular?
I've got an alloy TBR M2 on the 650 and a Titanium M5 on the 1250.

Re: Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
Given that Beowulf and Yoshi would be about equal on bikes in this forum the poll is fucked right from the start
Re: Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
Why did I even bother then. Fine.

I think you're holding back here Chris, what are you trying to say?

I'll work on something stronger for the Adult time slot
Re: Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
I have a Akrapovic on my Aprilia .Its is a beautiful piece of workmanship , the sound is special (as you would expect from a V- twin) and
unbelievably light .It is by far the best can i have ever had .Yet i would not pay that money to fit one on a Bandit or any 4 inline motor .
I had a Lazer on the Bandit once ,that was very nice ,not over expensive . Shame a battery charger fell on it and dented it.
Tough choice though i like Staintune because there strong but $900 no way.
I'm not no paying more than $450 so i have a ...Vote cast

I can laugh at myself guys.
My point was a can that is at least as popular as Yoshi here wasn't even in the poll so it will skew the "other" count.
Regardless of if a poll is needed as we're all pretty open about what zorst we're running.
What purpose does this poll serve?
My 2c worth
Re: Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
For reasons i can only guess, the staintune was half the price of the yoshi r77 that i was originally considering for looks alone. The sound from the staintune blasting through a tunnel is just superb. Didn't buy it for the performance but that wonderful note.

Carbon Scorpion great looking pipe sounds fantastic and very light.
Not totally sure about price though as the missus brought for me as an early birthday pressie and I know the local dealer gave her a good price. She looks cute and haggles like crazy how can any mechanic say now to that
Hmmm might have to get her to buy all my other bits and bobs in the future and save a fortune

Re: Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
I put on a Scorpion pipe. Why a scorpion, because I could afford it. Less than $600 fitted. I really wanted an Akropvic or Yoshimura, but the budget wouldn't go that far.
I'm happy with it, I've got to say though that I haven't noticed any real difference in power, torque or economy. But I didn't put the pipe on for more power power, I just wanted more noise.

Same here Mick.My nephew on a hyosung gt650r with a cheapo screamin demon pipe commented how quiet the stock exhaust. His basically turns petrol into noise. The staintune had the right price for the sound.

I liked the black on black - Yoshi R77. Fabulous sound. But, pricey. Akropovic titanium was also nice but even pricier.

Re: Exhaust preference of Bandit riders
Well, I have an AirHawk from the M50 days. But, since I put the lambswool on the Bnadit I haven't used the Airhawk on it at all. That includes a couple of 1,800ms 3 day weekends, including Phillip Is WSBK, fariders, etc. So, it must be working OK for me, although I still feel the need to move around a bit on long trips. It's probably got a lot to do with your size, weight, anatomical relationship to the bike, etc. So, it may not work as well for others.
