Save 50% off your rego - solo seat mod
At Gus's request, here is what I had to do.
1. Render pillion seat ineffective. Suzuki make a genuine part to replace the pillion seat.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/07-09-BANDIT-1250-GSF1250-NEW-SUZUKI-SEAT-COWL-1250S-/400203850676?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d2e0223b4
2. Remove pillion seat pegs
3. Mobile motorcycle RWC guys are out there who do the compliance plates. It cost me $200.
Later found out my Suzuki dealer would do the same for $100.
Then once the plate has been riveted to the frame, you take the bike to the local transport dept for verification and adjustment of your rego papers. My rego has gone from approx $400 per year to $200 per year.
Just ask the mod plater BEFORE you go cutting brackets off etc exactly what they are looking for to satisfy the regulations WRT solo seat mods. I did what I was told and there's been no problems.
Hope this helps. Just think, solo seat rego is half the cost of dual seat. That means you can have TWO solo seat bikes for the same money.

I would but I just can't get it to work on this forum. So frusterating.
I'll try after work today.

Peg bracket holes don't have to be welded. They can be drilled out, riveted up or cut off. Best thing is to talk to the plater.
