Front Tire - Front Tyre Empty Front Tire - Front Tyre

Like most of us I'm pretty happy with the performance of the PR2 on the rear but occasionally I feel like the front is running wide and this sensation seems worse since I put the new hoop on the back. The profile seems to have maintained the correct shape and there is no triangle shape towards the center. There is a good 5'000km left in it (that will bring it up to about 20,000km) but coming into winter I'm a little apprehensive and not quite trusting it in the wet.

I wouldn’t mind going softer (there is an opening for a couple of my "mates" here) but what to get?
Or is it a case of a new PR2 at the pointy end will feel good again especially while the rear is relatively new?

I've found the the Metzler M1 was a good front tyre, plenty of grip and feel for the life of the tyre. Though I believe this has now been replaced by the M3, which my wife runs on the front of her Monster.

I run a Pilot Power front and PR2 rear and find this combo works very well, its also pretty popular with the sportsbike guys. Of course the PP has now been replaced by the Pilot Pure and I will probably replace it with one of these,

Cheers

I have found that the PRs seem to lose a lot of air compared to the originals - I seem to be re-inflating them every week, whereas I could leave the originals for more than a month (or even longer) without the same pressure drop. Maybe I have a puncture or slow leak. Rolling Eyes
With the front low on pressure the front does seem to drop into the corners badly rather than track a line, although I must admit I haven't noticed any increased road noise - but that could be due to a number of other factors, eg helmet fit, exhaust note, commuting traffic, etc

Thanks guys. I think I'll price a pure.
Ewok you shouldnt need to reinflate week to week. Its a good idea to check pressures but they should hold air for a good period.
