Loss of power,
My 2007 model started to lose power about 30 minutes into a ride, I replaced the pump, filter and regulator valve but the problem persists, are there any other known problems with the dueling in this model, it feels like when I open the throttle the bike Boggs down and has no drive at all, it starts and idles fine. Any advice is much appreciated.

Re: Loss of power,
Leave the fuel cap open and see if issue persists.

Re: Loss of power,
Thanks for that, somebody suggested that I clean the gauze filter where the pump fits into the assembly, I can't see one but have been assured it's there, all I can do is give it's go I guess, cheers.

Re: Loss of power,
Check out " guss's fuel fix" in the mechanical section.
The gauze is in the plastic body, there's some pics of mine in there. If water doesn't pass through it when held up against a tap , it's the gauze. Bend a piece of wire 90 deg , scratch scrape, carby cleaner/degreaser etc till it flows water.

Re: Loss of power,
Can also be a bad gas cap vent since after a few minutes it acts up. You can open the fuel cap the next time it happens and see if it goes away for another another few minutes until the vacuum pressure occurs again. Stock caps are know to go bad.

Re: Loss of power,
It's there, you need to pull apart the pump.Rogerfj12 wrote:Thanks for that, somebody suggested that I clean the gauze filter where the pump fits into the assembly, I can't see one but have been assured it's there, all I can do is give it's go I guess, cheers.
There is a detailed step by step somewhere on here
Re: Loss of power,
A piece of electrical cable "splyed" into a brush is good, others have had success with a ultra sonic cleaner with petrol in the tankRogerfj12 wrote:GSX1100G wrote:Check out " guss's fuel fix" in the mechanical section.

Re: Loss of power,
That once happened to me on an old GSX 1100. Stripped the fuel cap, put it back together, problem solved.Joflewbyu2 wrote:Can also be a bad gas cap vent since after a few minutes it acts up.
