A mate has a MG F (mid engine, 1990's pommy piece of shit)
They have mild steel cooling pipes running from the radiator to the engine under the floor pan, we did the same with stainless tube and fitting, had it welded at the local exhaust place, all up less than 1/2 the price of original and saved a 3 month wait from the UK.
Coolant was doing it's job, they had rusted from the outside in.
Like rodent stated, nice work but I wouldn't bother for under $40 either

Right I would have still made the part for speed, the bike was off the road and I couldn't get a part locally, I checked the two main online Suzuki parts suppliers in the UK and both showed £62 ($120Aus) so I went ahead and made the part, I will check out more suppliers, why would they use mild steel for coolant hose when stainless steel or even plastic would do the job and last longer, the cost savings to Suzuki for mild steel would be pennies.
