What causes fuel lock on these bikes. Mine filled up the airbox, pistons and sump with fuel yesterday. Stripped the carbs, all clean, needles and seats good, float levels ok, tank vent and drain hoses all ok. I cant find a reason for it. No leakage through the tap when not on prime.
A mates K5 did the same thing a few months ago, but that was caused by a bad tank vent and blocked drain hose, allowing pressure build up in the tank enough to "over-ride" the diaphram spring in the fuel tap.
Any suggestions as to why?
And are there any mods (except a good in line fuel filter, and a small filter in the end of the tank overflow hose) that will help prevent this occurring.
Regards, Greg
