it ain't easy!

i used a heat gun (carefully!), as well as a degreaser to get rid of the left over adhesive.
even then it was a long, slow process.

This mightn't be much help, but when I recently de-stickered my new helmet, I got rid of the post-sticker-peel goob with Teatree Oil. Dissolved that horrible, sticky, snot-like residue instantly!

I got all of my stickers off, besides the "petrol only" sticker on the tank...that one is next.
Just took some time and elbow grease. Used a hair dryer.

Last one i got off was the sticker on the chain guard. that was the longest to get off. I didnt have a hair dryer. I used some stuff called "oomph". Magic stuff. Took some time, but all came off eventually. Was well worth it. And now going over the bike removing all the paint spots off all the nuts and bolts.

I used a hot air gun (more powerful than a hair dryer) but had to be careful and hold the gun a fair distance away. Also used metho for the sticky gunk that was left but it took a long time and I'm not sure that I would suggest it to anyone else, but I will say the metho did not affect the paintwork at all, it just took a long time and hard elbow grease.

A hair dryer (on the hottest setting) and eucalyptus oil.

For goodness sake don't be tempted to use anything remotely sharp, even finger nails can cause some nasty scratches in paint work.

As I'm a panelbeater I've got access to a wonderful tool that we use at work to remove stripes and double sided tape from car panels without scratching them. Its a 100mm wheel made from a type of rubber(not really sure what) with grooves across it. Powered by air it really takes stickers of in no time. I did the ones on the tank in about 2 minutes from go to whoa. Too easy!!
Go see a panelbeater or someone that applies stripes to cars.
