Hand guards ?

Post  gus on Tue 25 Jan 2011, 1:33 pm

Anyone not seen the hand guards of a V-Stom on a bandit. Like Rolls but no clamps $95. Bit out of season for this topic but if someone
interested i'll post it up.Did a 'search ' and was surprised not there. Nice wright up on your cold hand solution though Rolls.

I think about doing this every winter as my hands feel the cold pretty bad due to having had a few broken fingers and thumbs. I still haven't done it tho.

got Barkbusters on mine ..........had them on the SV.......GREAT for three reasons .........helps prevent lever breaking when you fall over .........keeps cold wind off in winter.......keeps hands dry when wet.....would not be without them...............Grumpy Smile Smile

I had them on once when i road up the range to Glen Innes with thin gloves.(no heated grips ) Did not realise it was 0 deg. Hands were cold
but not numb, very good in showery weather gloves stay dry (well nearly dry )The beauty of these is they clip on and off.
Not the best looking things but wet ,cold hands are worse. I'll post a pic tomorrow for those who haven't seen the
V-strom type. Not as well made as Barkbusters but i like the way they clip on and off .
Whats the price of Bark busters these days?

I bought a pair of barkbusters storm handguards. There is an extra kit available to mount them to the bar end. I put a strip of led lights on so the indicators can be seen better from the front. I'm very happy with them in the cold.

My hands feel warm just looking at that last shot Rolls. Nice stereo self portrait too, very cever.Better looking than the dr 650 ones too i think.
Got a price. ?

Looking at them now there is a big differance in size and shape .(compared to barkbusters )
The bits x2 of cause.V-Strom guards.

Fitted. Look a lot larger in the photo.

Clips on this end one screw on top.

I think they were about $120. Solid and well made mounts on them.
