Uncomfortable seat
Hi all
After my ride out yesterday. After an hour the seat was getting pretty uncomfortable and was looking at getting another seat or buying a gel insert.
Any recommendations?
Cheers

About 550 km the next day.
As much as you "grip/hang on" with knees and butt, you need be relaxed. Try the odd cheek clench to move blood around.

Re: Uncomfortable seat
For my last 3 bikes a 1200Bandit, a 1250 Bandit and a 650VStrom I visited a motor trimmer.
If you didn't know, a motor trimmer is an upholsterer who specialises in vehicle upholstery.
In each of the three cases he removed most of the foam from the seat and replaced it with one of a different density and did some reshaping as well.
The new foam was about half the height, as being a bit of a hobbit I was looking for a height reduction [the seat] and they finished up about 40mm lower.
In each instance the new foam was temporarily attached to the seat with duct tape and I was to test ride it to check for comfort.
Once I was happy with the result he resewed the seat using the original covering.
I think I paid for the work with "beer money" which was quite reasonable.

Re: Uncomfortable seat
I did 1000km days on my standard seat. Didn’t mind the stock screen either which seems a common complaint tooTad68 wrote:Hi all
