Hayabusa no more.... Empty Hayabusa no more....

Post  mtbeerwah Fri 14 Dec 2018, 10:41 am

So I've just read, Suzuki is discontinuing the Busa.
It can't meat Euro4 laws, so that's it.
I've ridden a couple...certainly not the bike for me. I do like the torque though.
It is an icon, but every dog has it's day.
Sad I guess in some ways, but, "c'est la vie"

Seeing as it has been their only bike in this class , they maybe will release a new version of a similar type of  bike at some stage which meets Euro requirements.

I'm excited by the possibilities of electric,  but they lack so much passion.
Every bike is gong to have to be sold with a sound system, to give them character.
But ultimately, they will eventually be superior to the combustion engine.
"Instant scary torque"

A "Busa" always has my attention when i see one - like a GTR Torana or XA Falcon attention grabbing.
Electric bikes will be good but I don't think they will be in time for me to ride and enjoy it like I ride my bandit.

I need to ride one that's got a good set of risers on it.
To me they're just as comfortable as a Litre sports bike..not at all.

I had a bit of a laugh at electric.
Here's an electric r/c drag car.
A bit quick !!!!!   126 miles per hour, in 1.11 seconds

Further info...take it or leave it for what it's worth.
USA still get the Busa, because them, like me, doesn't care about Euro4 laws.
Lucky them,  then.

Apparently, because we do not have the Euro 4 (yet) they will still be imported into Australia.

I'm still happy to have all my gas guzzling, environmentally unfriendly,  1200 Bandits.

Sure they'll be a minority that will still import the Busa, but I can't see too many doing it. Only die hards.
If I was remotely interested in a Busa, the new announcement would chsnge my view towards buying something else.

Oh god......just turn me into a robot and be done with it.

Society is being dumbed down. Are we getting that incompetent, we can't act and think for ourselves ???

I will only ever buy and use a manual, rear wheel drived car. The only time this will change, is when it is absolutely out of my control. Until that moment comes, I'll think for myself....along with bikes.
