Thanks Paul that was interesting... try and find bike specific flouro rain gear though.

It brings about an interesting point, because of saccades it's better to scan by moving your head not flicking your eyes, probably why the driving examiners like to see the head movement at intersections but people don't know why, I think if people were made more aware of this in their training it would make a difference, I consciously move my head now to improve hazard recognition.

I the iLoad I often have a problem with 2 of those points combined, when because of a constant viewing angle people remain hidden behind the A pillar which is substantial.

I suppose that's one advantage about getting old, your Peripheral vision gets so bad you can't see anything at your sides without moving your head  Sad

Interesting food for thought. 
At least he rides. The old saying that everyone is out to kill you is worth remembering every ride.
