Is that the $ 900 one ??? ...............looks like it may have possibly had some " home mechanicals " done to that one as well judging by the  body mods .

The airbox from a xj750 turned up to day, luckily it was the same as a 650 one (which I couldn't find ). Trouble is you have to remove the motor to get it to fit . That wasn't going to happen so I cut the rear section off and re-joined it in the frame . I know why an airbox is so hard to find second hand .It because people trash them trying to get them out . No
The xj900 pic above has gone from $2700 to $1000  . Pic looks a lot better at that price

That 750 looks good mate, well done. The rectangle headlight does look shit on those bikes. One of those 6"  projector headlights that Harley produce would look good on that too .

I bought some headers from U.S.A  for $120 delivered , a junction box from W.A for $115 delivered ,and 2 original Ducati pipes from Hobart for $30 for the two .A new 4 into 1 system was going to cost me $650 so i'm way ahead money wise and probably performance wise .
The Ducati pipes (made by REMUS for Ducati) look like they were made to fit ( got lucky )
Just about finished

THe  xj has been giving me problems ,big time . I replaced the cam chain . It was an endless one .The idea being grind the top off one pin (not link ), pry that end of the plate off and the chain comes apart . When re-joining simply press plate back on the pin . Sounds weird but it works well .
The chain was 120 link item which I connected to the  old chain and wound it through . So far so good .
Winding the motor over (by hand) the chain walks off the sprocket and then jumps the sprocket .
After days of guide and tensioner checking its still doing the same thing . Valves are now hitting the pistons because of the jumping chain .
Totally pissed off I remove the head and lay everything on the bench including the 120link camchain .
Count the links ,yes 122 links . WTF . Count again ,and again . Box says 120 links and yet I get 122 links . Remove 2 links and everything works as it should . I contacted the supplier and he says he has never heard of it before and probably thinks I stuffed up . How I could ADD links is not happening because I don't have any .(lol)
Count the links before fitting .

To be honest I wouldn't  be surprised if this bike blows up. There has been so many things wrong with it from the very start . Cams in wrong ,broken cam guide , valve hitting piston  and the worst  ,cam caps with markings that are wrong .
I'll give it a go in an hour ,if it destroys itself I wont be too disappointed . Its worth more in pieces than going .
I picked up one of these the other day (not as good as this one )for $450 . Know absolutely nothing about them . YG1 or something similar (Yamaha 1963 )Its very very small.
